I would put this in the NHL Season thread but it's not getting much traffic at the moment due to it being the offseason so I thought it deserved a thread of it's own.
Some sad news, long time Habs forward John Ferguson, Sr. (http://www.nhl.com/nhl/app/?service=page&page=NewsPage&articleid=334515) lost his two year battle with prostate cancer last Saturday. He was 68. Ferguson, who's son John, Jr. is General Manager of the Toronto Maple Leafs, won five Stanley Cups in his seven year career with the Canadiens and will forever be remembered as one of hockey's toughest, yet most respected players. He is survived by his wife Joan and their children John, Catherine, Chris and Joanne.
