My own correction before someone, anyone else notices: of course it's the Music City Miracle to which I was referring: Motor City WAS the Music City in my formative years, so I guess it was my sub-package conscious working...

A lot of interesting points brought up about overtime, and I have to say I agree with Mike, I think we would be better off abolishing OT except obviously for play-off games.

I dont know what needs looking at really, i think the current system works well, i mean 2 draws in the span of half a decade isnt bad, one issue i think the NFL should look into is maybe changing the OT rules to the college overtime regulations, then overtime wouldnt be sudden death so speak and won on a toss of a coin, with that both sides off the ball would have to play to win the game for you, but with this you would get the possible time issues.

I often wonder whether the nfl takes the george patton philosphy "america loves a winner, we do not tolerate losers".

how do ties work with standings?

The NFL OT is pathetic and just shows what a bunch of morons is at the moment running NFL!! Don't get me started on the so called new "rules". But there is not much to do about because it, people including me still will watch and love the game - in spite of terrible NEW rules! In 10 years you might not be allowed to touch another player at all - this is half joke half serious warning!!!

ps: btw watch the Cards to whip the arrogant NYG!

The officials needed to announce a tie at the end of the Eagles/Begals game because fans thought that the game was a draw !

And as we all know a draw is a delayed hand-off to a running back who takes the ball staright up the middle.

But isn't a tie an item of clothing worn by gentlemen?

Points 2 & 4 are intrinsically connected.

i.e. head to head and half a loaf = loaf- head or head coach.

eg. Brad Childress believing that he could get a winning season with Tavaris Jackson and Gus Frerotte as his quarterbacks !

Unfourtunately Troy Williamson is going to be out of the Troy Williamson bowl.

He is to busy trying to get healthy so that he can wrestle Brock Lesner on the 50 yard line next week.

Mike picks the Chiefs for the 3rd week in a row, and they lose again.

If you could pick them again next week in Oakland, that would be much appreciated from us Raiders fans.

Thanks. :D
