The Patriots played at Fenway Park for 5 years during the mid 60's (63-68)

First game at Fenway was againist the Raiders, October '63. They were also forced to play 'home' games at Boston Uni and Harvard. After they left Fenway in '68, they played a home game againist the Jets in Alabama!!

According to my father-in-law, At Pats games, "coffee cost 25c and the attendance for some games was so small the fans would move along the bleachers, following the ball up and down the field."

In January 1997, Robert Kraft began talks with Providence mayor Vincent Cianci to relocate the team to Providence and build a new stadium there. The proposed 68,000 seat domed stadium would have cost $250 million, and would have been paid through income taxes, public bonds, and surcharges on tickets. However, citizens in the proposed neighborhood were highly opposed to the project, and the surrounding area would have needed massive infrastructure improvements. The proposal fell through after a few weeks.
