Lynch has apparently met with Carroll and Schneider and asked to be released. Sounds like he's got the itch to play again, looks in shape. If the Seahawks do agree to his unretirement (is that a word?) they are on the hook for $9m, and they only have $13m cap space, with Lacy already on board. This is happening folks.

So, a bit of help understanding the deal here??..

He's still under contract with the Seahawks...so why would they cut him without holding out for a trade with Oakland? If they release him, he becomes a UFA and they get nothing right??

Reggies' not gonna trade a pick surely...so , what am I missing here to make this work?

They'd have to cut him as they only have about $4-5m of cap space with both the 2nd wave of free agency and the draft to come. They could restructure existing contracts by converting basic salary into signing bonuses but that puts extra pressure on the cap in future years.

Thanks for that...wasn't quite understanding the cap issue.

Speaking of deals...been a busy day today. QB Manuel, LB Jenkins, and re-signing of LS Condo.

Hmm. Methinks the move to Vegas may have put the brakes on this....

Will still be playing in Oakland one more year whatever happens with the vote. I doubt he'd get a long term deal to take advantage of the zero state income tax in Nevada though. Maybe that's what holding up other potential deals, I heard that for Zach Brown the Bills are out and it's between the Raiders and Dolphins, maybe he and his new agent are waiting to see what happens with the vote.

Let's hope the Seahawks have released him, I don't see the Raiders giving much to get him

Raiders 2017 schedule -

Wk 1 @Tennessee
Wk 2 NY Jets
Wk 3 @Washington (SNF)
Wk 4 @Denver
Wk 5 Baltimore
Wk 6 LA Chargers
Wk 7 Kansas City (TNF)
Wk 8 @ Buffalo
Wk 9 @Dolphins (SNF)
Wk 10 Bye week
Wk 11 New England (Mexico City)
Wk 12 Denver
Wk 13 NY Giants
Wk 14 @Kansas City
Wk 15 Dallas (SNF)
Wk 16 @Philadelphia (MNF)
Wk 17 @LA Chargers

Doesn't look too bad, I'm guessing they will stay over when they play the Bills and Dolphins, then the bye week before the game in Mexico.
