Trainwreck

A refreshing take on the rom-com type movie, written about realistically flawed individuals. Often very funny with some great cameos (LeBron, Stoudemire, Cena, Tilda Swinton), the first half or so zips along. Overlong by 20 minutes its also a shame it doesn't hold its nerve to the end instead providing the usual schmaltzy ending

6/10

Thumbs up Rate The Last Movie You Watched...

IN DARKNESS - 6/10 (Good)

Foreign language film (in Polish) I watched a version with English subtitles. Very good film especially if you like good acting and are interested in real events that took place during WWII other than frontline fighting. This is just a glimpse of the terrbile things the Germans perpertrated on the people in the places they occupied during the course of the Second World War. I would not say this is a film that can be enjoyed as entertainment and in places it's very harsh to watch knowing it was based on true events. It is a dramatization of one man's rescue of Jewish refugees in the ****-occupied Polish city of Lvov. However all that said I would say if you have a brian and or an interest in this dark period of history then it's well worth a watch.

I got through about 10 minutes but that was enough. I thought I was watching an episode of Loose Women.

Staying with movies I gave up early..........Top Cat. Everything about it is terrible

Because its easy, has a ready made story and there's little or no risk attached because there's always a low-level fan base of the show that will watch the movie. Until TV show remakes flop badly Hollywood will keep churning them out, much like they will franchise films. Fast & Furious 100 - mobility scooter drift anyone?

but the A-team film was just awful the Starsky and Hutch film was a mess and even Ghostbusters lost around $50m according to reports.can only imagine the reviews for the Baywatch film will get.surely hollywood has some original idea's left.

also TV seems to be going the same route with the Lethal Weapon/Taken/Training day shows starting this year to go with the transporter from a year or so back.
