WE BOUGHT A ZOO - 6/10 (Good)

"You know, sometimes all you need is twenty seconds of insane courage. Just literally twenty seconds of just embarrassing bravery. And I promise you, something great will come of it." Benjamin Mee's (Matt Damon) life is starting to crumble. His wife has died, his son is expelled from school and he quits his job. In hope of starting a new life he decides to move and he finds the perfect house. He they realizes that it's a zoo. I have to admit that I was a little skeptical with this premise, however it had good reviews and a high mark on IMDB so decided to give it a chance. What I can now say is this is a great family movie which has enormous heart, depth and tackles real world issues while still appealing to all ages. The little girl steals every scene shes in and woo wee Kelly Foster (Scarlett Johansson) is so flaming hot your eyes burn when shes on the screen. The writing and the acting is great and the movie absolutely will soften anyones heart - I guarantee it wins over even the most synical of film buffs in under half an hour. Overall, this is a must see for families as all ages can enjoy it and get something out of it.

The smuggler - New to Sky Cinema

Man agrees to take drugs from Thailand to America via a plane and his stomach. Gets caught. Then the authorities cannot force him to have an X Ray or take laxatives.

But they can hold him in a hotel room for 6 days waiting for him to go to the toilet...but he took a load of drugs before leaving Thailand to make him constipated.

It isn't gross humour though. One of the best black comedies I've seen & Hugo Weaving is great.

THE RING - 6/10 (Good)

I have seen this before but must have been a long long time ago as I had not rated it on IMDB - as it was on the TV decided to re-watch. Defo not as scary as I remeber but that could be because I had seen it before.

Still this movie makes you realize why so many other movies fail to be scary...not enough psychological elements. What this movie does right is that it skips all the gore, blood and over-the-top crazed lunatics that seem to be the norm in most horror movies. I recommend seeing this film knowing nothing about it at all and if having never seen it before then the best way would be to watch on as big a screen as possible, late at night in the dark to get the full effect.
