Kevin King, Washington
Chidobe Awuzie, Colorado
Quincy Wilson, Florida
Fabian Morea, UCLA
Jourdan Lewis, Michigan St
Cordrea Tankersley, Clemson
Teez Tabor, Florida

Think the first three there will probably go before we pick again. Anyone think we could trade up and pick a little earlier in round 2??
As i kinda thought, play safe first rd then......Sidney

  • Understand their logic of a pass rusher at #28.

  • IF the Browns offered #33 & #108 I'd have taken it. Perhaps the Seahawks or Saints take Charlton but it's worth the risk.

  • Charlton obviously matches their 'type' of DE. Physically a carbon copy of Kevin Dodd who they missed out on in 2016 at pick #34. The fear of missing their pass rusher again made them turn down any trade offer imo.

  • Cowboys think Charlton is a great fit for RDE. Not so sure personally. Hope he isn't another 'almost' guy. Plenty of pressure, not enough sacks. Is he explosive enough?

  • Don't trade up from #60, if anything they should trade back a little for extra picks. Either way they need a CB and a S tonight.

Chidobe Awuzie and Jourdan Lewis (tip of the hat to Kevan) in rounds 2 & 3 for the Cowboys.

No great surprise that the Cowboys targeted DB's on Day 2, I think we'll all agree that the secondary was in serious need of reinforcements. Budda Baker, and perhaps more importantly Marcus Maye and Marcus Williams went off the board within the first 10 picks of rd 2 which might have made the Cowboys choice a little easier at #60 with Awuzie still on the board. Lewis has an off the field issue that needs addressing but there is no doubting the talent.

You have to wonder if they see Awuzie in the mix at safety too, or is it just another guy that appealed to the Cowboys because of his versatility. Jack of all, master of none? They need to be careful with that. Either way they added 2 talented players at positions of need.

The Cowboys first 3 picks might help to shape this Draft Class into a very solid one.

Still plenty of talented DB's on the board to start Day 3. They'd couldn't draft 3 in a row could they?.........................

CB, S OR DE IMO.

Be happy if it was another DB.

Be really surprised if we went offense.

Pretty happy with what the Boys drafted, addressed needs on the defensive side of the ball and added a couple of receivers who will more than likely see special team duties to begin with although Switzer should see some action as a slot receiver.

Charlton, Awuzie and Lewis could all be starters.

Woods, White and Carroll will see some ST work, with Woods & White probably seeing some action in Nickel & Dime packages if deemed good enough by the coaches. Could Carroll get into the pass rush rotation for 2017, only time will tell, same with Joey Ivie in the defensive tackle rotation.

Looks like the Cowboys got good value with the pair of WR's they picked up. They seem to be Dez and Cole clones, and should therefore fit the offence. Could end up being their replacements one day? Switzer might spell the end for Lucky too, he just seems to offer more.

The trade up for Woods made sense on so many levels, a great move. Probably means Awuzie stays at CB too. You have to love what they've done to the secondary with Awuzie, Lewis and Woods. White brings added competition too.

I'm guessing one of the 7th rd DT's gets cut and the other lands on the Practice Squad in the end.

Looking at the numbers game there might be a few 'surprising' cuts coming down the line. The roster looks quite competitive, there will be some tough decisions to make at WR, DL and DB.

They've added a couple of UDFA QB's too. Cooper Rush and Austin Appleby.

All in all not too much to complain about (although I'm sure we can nitpick if we try ).

Not going to mit pick for a change! i think we did ok overall and added much needed depth at db, sure Jerrys finger was on the Sidney button at 60 but didnt happen.Still at bit concerned at CB although there is plenty of time to chop and change and see how the rookies make out in camp etc.Better draft than last year even tho it seems a better class this year.Taco is another one of those mm picks, cant help feeling we could have found someone else with a bit more upside, but there i go nit picking again! fairly happy and looking forward
