Default Free Agents etc 2017 - Who Signs Who?

With 2016 season now in the books, already attentions turn to 2017. Free Agency will soon hit with some big name players maybe hitting the market, including a number of potential high profile cap casualties

So looking at some of the bigger names where there is possibility of moving on, where do you think they end up playing in 2017?

1. T.J. Lang (G) - Packers

2. Melvin Ingram (LB) - Chargers

3. A.J. Buoy (CB) - Texans

4. Kirk Cousins (QB) - Redskins

5. Alshon Jeffrey (WR) - Bears

6. . Donta Hightower (MLB) - Patriots

7. DeSean Jackson (WR) - Redskins

8. Eddie Lacy (RB) - Packers

9. Stephon Gilmore (CB) - Bills

10. Josh Gordon (WR) - Browns

11. Morris Claiborne (CB) - Cowboys

12. Dontari Poe (DT) - Chiefs

13. Calais Campbell (DE/DT) - Cardinals

14. Colin Kaepernick (QB) - 49ers

15. Jimmy Garropolo (QB) - Patriots

16. Jason Pierre-Paul (DE) - Giants

17. Latavius Murray (RB) - Raiders

18. Jay Cutler (QB) - Bears

19.Tony Romo (QB) - Cowboys

20. Adrian Peterson (RB)- Vikings

All the expensive ones will go to the Dolphins, Jags, Eagles (even though they have no money) and Rams. The Patriots will get someone at a bargain price who is way better than all the others are at their new teams.

Logan Ryan should be on the list, some team will pay him in free agency and get a very good cover corner.

Have said in another thread but I reckon Lang will get a good contract away from GB. Guard isn't a position we tend to pay big on, and I'm sure two of Tretter/Linsley/Spriggs will become starters at guard and centre next season.

Lacy I'm edging towards keeping too. Durability issues means he's probably best kept in a committee (i.e. next to Montgomery) and the market for him possibly isn't gonna be that big. I'd also then draft a 4th/5th round RB onto the roster as well.

I'm not sure we will counter if Latavius decides to test the market. Reggie has got good value with late picks and UDFAs at the position (Latavius was a 6th rounder), and has shown previous by letting Rashad Jennings walk when he got more than Reggie was willing to offer.

It will be interesting to see if the Vikings re-sign Peterson to reduced terms. I think it might be the best time to cut him, save the £18m and draft someone in what is apparently a fairly loaded draft in terms of RB's.

Need to sign a left tackle free agent maybe use Zimmers ties in Cincinatti and get Whitworth for a year or two. Kalil isn't the answer and with no first round pick it might be tough to sort this position in the draft.

I hope we re sign Nick Fairley. He was only on a one year deal, so may well have been playing for a new deal.

Hopefully he's happier down south nearer
home. He's always had a fragile personality, so there's always the danger he blows up after signing a big deal ( see Junior Galette) but fingers crossed.

Pats wise I think we tag Hightower - he's had durability issues so can't see us giving him a long term deal.

Don't think we'll be able to afford to retain Logan Ryan (my bet is he ends up in Tennessee)

I imagine Marty Bennett will get a bigger offer somewhere else

Sneaky big one is Duron Harmon who we could really do with tying down to a deal

Expect Blount, Sheard, Mingo to all leave

Alan branch, Chris long to either retire or sign one year deals

As ever a lot of turnover

Raiders seemed to use Washington, Richard more and more later in the season. Washington had more yards with fewer carries against Colts for example. Raiders may see Murray as replaceable if he asks for too much.

I expect Elway to go after Lang and some other offensive linemen. Huge overhaul needed on that line.
