At the end of the day, it's the individual who chooses what they want to purchase. If they are happy paying a fraction of the cost for a fake jersey then so be it.
By the sounds of it they'd also have no qualms about buying pirate DVD's, downloading music from illegal sites, getting quality perfumes from the local car boot sale. If they are happy supporting copyright piracy, and the underworld businesses that are connected with it, then that is their choice. Personally, my choice would be to save up and get a genuine article. For all the frustrated OL/DL out there.... John Madden: I love to see a fat guy score. Pat Summerall: Why? John Madden: Because first you get a fat guy spike, then you get the fat guy dance. |

![]() Stilton88 has advertised fake jerseys himself on this site before, so we can see where he stands. ![]() It is an emotive subject and especially these days of the credit crunch and financial belt tightening we'll see more and more people tempted by the fake jersey. Does it make people less of a fan? of course not. Kizz's comparison is an excellent one though, you can clearly see the poor quality of the fake jersey ( I took the picture at Wembley this year) and the crisp flat numbers and letters of the genuine. I think most people can see that the fake looks tired and this one wasn't the worst at the Saints/Chargers game. You get what you pay for and a genuine jersey will last for years and years. ![]() I've said before that I don't agree with Reeboks pricing, it's too expensive for the all sewn Authentic range. What's wrong with the screenprinted replica range for £40? Nothing at all, they are priced similar to soccer jerseys, why buy fake when you can get a genuine jersey? There's the moral issue too, working conditions for the people making these fakes, a large number of them children who should be at school and not working long hours in a sweatshop. ![]() The counterfeit industry is worth billions of dollars each year, this money does not go into the economy, it doesn't get taxed and go to public services like education and health, it goes into the pockets of organised criminals. I urge people to buy genuine NFL product, it can be found at reasonable prices. I have lists of genuine sellers on my site http://nfljerseyfanparadise.forumotion.com/index.htm and my 'Thumbs up' scheme members who only sell genuine jerseys. It's a shame that the official UK NFL site has people recommending bootleg product. |

Exactly - if anyone is stupid enough to buy fake jerseys from a sus website then they deserve any problems that they might get. Kizz has demonstrated how crap some fakes can look and ,even if they are good quality, why people would give money to someone who is effectively stealing money from an organisation that they claim to be a fan of is beyond me
