Default People leaving early?? - 26-Oct-2009, 11:15 AM

What was up with people leaving early? I had people sat near me who were leaving through the third quarter, i think it is pretty ridiculous really they should just stay at home and watch it on tv!

I can understand fans of the losing team leaving early to a point. . but what frustrated me was people in corporate boxes.
I had a clear view into a box from my seat in CW and there were a bunch of suits all sat around gorging themselves on food around a rather large table watching the game. . infrequently. . . on the tv provided in the said box. . WHY WHY WHY. . go home and watch it on tv ridiculous to be at the stadium and not actually watch the game properly. .

That is stupid, you should take out all the corporate boxes, put more seating in and let real fans buy the tickets!

I left with about 10 minutes to go. Some of us see several NFL games a year, I also go to all England home games and it happens much worse there. I can promise you when i'm in boston there are regularly people who leave early to beat the car park jams. Just human nature when the game is all but won and you have several hours journey home.

I'd be more concerned about the people who clearly weren't getting into the game or the mexican waving idiots. Oh and the muppets with whistles.

I was gutted that I couldnt be there yesterday as I couldnt get a ticket, and to see people leaving so early?

I couldnt understand this for a number of reasons, firstly the majority of fans there yesterday were neutral so the outcome of the game want really an issue!

Wembley is a transport nightmare granted, however our little country is tiny in the comparison to what US fans travel week in week out and you dont see half empty stadiums especially by losing fans.
Worst case senario it is a 5 hour journey for a bristish fan to get to London. When I went to see Broncos and steelers a few years back at mile high, there were pittsburg fans that had travelled 2 days in a car!

If your team is losing, you are with them till the end in my view and if your team is up you want to be in there for the cheer that your team has won!

I see this so much in sport now days especially when I watch Premier league matches. If I can get to a game whether NFL or soccer, it is a financial treat for me and I want to enjoy every minute of it.

Always question peoples faith in sports when they leave early...

You sure they were leaving early I had a constant stream of people getting up and down all through the game, makes you wonder why pay all that money just to miss the action getting pints and pints of beer

The mexican wave was a bit of harmless fun for some people but dor me it was annoying as you could't see anything every time it come around!

Im sure people were leaving though unless hundreds were going to the bar! Or maybe they had a deal that we didn't hear about!

Always good to stay rational guys, but atleast 35% of the fans left early unless that same 35% of fans turned into plastic.

:-)
