Sky Sports 1 will show every playoff game live including the Super Bowl in HD.
BBC 2 will show a weekly highlights show for the playoffs and then show the Super Bowl in HD. BBC Radio 5 live sports extra will have live commentary of the playoffs (including the NFC Championship game) and BBC Radio 5 live will have the AFC Championship game and Super Bowl live. not that it really matters in this day and age but its a tad odd that the SB has moved to BBC2 (as i'm sure its been on BBC1 in the past.)

I think the first year or two the beeb had it they put it on BBC2 then they moved it to BBC1 but I think at the time MOTD2 was a fixture on BBC2 so they could start the Super Bowl at 22:55 (MOTD on BBC2 used to start at 22:00). They obviously feel starting the programme at 23:15 is too late for all the build up (because from 21:00 they have to squeeze in Ripper st, News and MOTD2) so they moved it to BBC2.

So is anyone going to watch the SB on Sky. I, for one, will be delighted to ditch them for the Beeb.

Depends which if my Dad needs to watch it in HD
HD is really for older people with failing eyesight. :-) So up in the air! BBC has the better studio cast for sure! |
