Would be interested to hear your views on this. Not good news for Zorn as it reflects a lack of confidence, what will people now think if the offence turns a corner? Zorn won't get the credit and it may undermine him in the team.

On the plus side, he is well-versed in the WCO and hopefully can inject new life into JC and co.

The way I see it it looks like the FO have finally realised that they've thrown too much at Zorn too early in his coaching career. Hopefully Lewis can take some of the load off Coach Zorn's plate

The Skins have moved on from SNAFU to total cluster ****.

Zorn is out of his depth, and he should be shown the door now, because this Lewis
appointment spells the begining of the end(Hopefully).

My guess is he'll work in the booth and be in Zorn's ear, suggesting certain things against certain defensive sets/tendancies but I can't see this been a major help and I do feel Zorn has been underminded here because I doubt he asked for this "help".

The mistake Zorn and the FO made was not having an experienced OC or offensive assistant on the coaching staff from the word go.

Hopefully it wil have an impact and improve the team. It may work in the short term but longer term issues need to be addressed.

If coach Zorn did not want Lewis there in the 1st place could this not have a negative effect (not that it could get any worse under Zorn)

This is an appointment made solely by Vinny Cerratto and Zorn and the players knew nothing about it.

How is this going to help matters ?

His last job was as a bingo caller FFS !

Lol! I did read that, when he agreed to take the job he had to cancel his commitments ... which he then said was bingo calling :)

Can't argue with his pedigree, but I do agree that I doubt Zorn asked for this help, even if it was hired with no intention of undermining Zorn ... it just does! I hope in the short term he can help make some improvements, but I think this shows that patience is wearing very thin with the way we're playing.

I pretty much agree with this. Regardless of how the season goes I can't see how Zorn or Campbell will survive given all that's gone on so far. Bringing in this 'help' adds weight to the eventual removal of Zorn.

Discussions with potential new HC's for next year will no doubt come with the promise of being able to draft your own QB.

I do however think Zorn has had a bit of a rough deal but that said it's largely self inflicted.

I cant agree that he will just be a voice in Zorn's ear concerning tendencies etc. I think this will be borne out in the game on Sunday against Carolina, particulary with regard to stretching the field and the pre-occupation that Zorn has with certain sets.

I would wager large sums of money that a full review of the offensive system has taken place already......
