The last few years havn't exactly been the golden years we enjoyed in the 80's but givin it's a tough time the skins right now i thought it might be nice to cast our mindes back to our best redskins memories. Just interested to know what everyone's is.

Mine is the 82 nfc championship against Dallas, at the time i couldn't watch it live but i still love watching replays of the game. To beat Dallas after they beat us in the regular season was really special and when i watched the america's game on sky i got shivers down my back when i hears the crowd chanting "WE WANT DALLAS".

The 3 superbowl wins obviously stand out as does the 82 NFC championship game.
Recently the 2005 MNF game in Texas Stadium when Santana Moss caught the 2 td's late on and the playoff win in Tampa.

Off the top of my head it would be the Superbowl win over Denver. I still remember that feeling of sickness at being 10-0 down in the 1st quarter and the commentator stating no one had ever come back from 10-0 down in a SB. Scoring 2 tds in the last 4mins in Dallas in 05 to win 14-13 was fun as well

I think the Dallas '05 game is the best recent memory although I also enjoyed the last match-up at Texas Stadium in '08.

Obviously the Super Bowls but I loved the play-off game vs the Falcons in'91/2 when the fans started throwing the seat cushions onto the field.

Superbowl XXII take me back to been 12 years old again armed with a midnight snack box from my mum but with the understanding it was school the next day, was worth it.

yeah texas stadium game was worth it, watched the next day in the evening and remember been soooooooooo drunk in that fourth quarter.

another was listening to the redskins v bears in the 87 playoffs on afn, Darrell Green running back the punt return.

strange when you think everbody touted the bears that they were going to be the great dynasty of the eighties yet we knocked em out in succesive seasons in 86 and 87
do we get credit for that? nope

1986 NFC championship remember crying after the highlights

sweet memories

Snyder rot in hell, Jack Kent Cooke was THE owner of the redskins

My best memory was sitting in a hotel room in Florida in 2005 (wasn't an avid fan till that year) watching Mark Brunell going deep to Moss (twice). I specifically remember Dan Marino sitting in a studio saying that the Redskins WOULD NOT get to the Playoffs that year despite being 2-0.

Cue Redskins going 5-6, and winning the last 5 games and making it.

Hard luck Danny Boy.

My favorite memories are going to see the Redskins play twice at fedex field,
Jacksonville and cleveland(both wins), and being invited on both occassion's
to tail-gate with the Hoggetts.

It has to be SB XXII for me..

I'll never forget that night.. We had a Superbowl party at my friends place. One of the guys there was a Raiders fan, who had ripped me to pieces during SB XVII. Denver were up 10-0. I was getting all kinds of abuse from this Raider...

Then Doug Williams limped into the huddle at the start of the second quarter.... 15 minutes later Superbowl history, a 35 point explosion! I sang, i danced, i taunted! I gloated so much, that by the end of the half that Raider was pretending to be asleep, in a feeble attempt to escape my abuse..
Happy days..:)
I've still got the game on Dvd. It's the one i reach for first when i feel a little down.

My next favorite moment was the one time i got to go to DC in 1999. We crushed Chicago 48-22. It was 45-0 at one point. So i got to enjoy all the delights on offer without having to worry about us winning the game..

2006 game vs Dallas, in terms of recent memories this narrowly beats the monday night miricle but my overall best memory is watching Williams hit Sanders and all my worries built up in the first quater dissapearing because we were back in it. I don't need to say what happened in the end of that game.

Listening to the Redskins games on the AFN or listening for the scores.

One game in particular back in 84 beating the Cowboys at Texas stadium 30 - 28 after being 21 - 6 down at the half.

You were always guaranteed the AFN broadcasting the Redskins Cowboys games.

Remember listening to to the 2 Chicago play off games in 86 and 87. Winning in Chicago after being 14 - 0 down and the punt return by Darrell Green.

Listening to the Monday night game when the Theismann broke his leg and we beat the Giants. Jay Schroeder coming of the bench.

Beating the Cardinals on a Monday night game after starting 0 and 2 in 84.

Does anyone remember the commentators saying this Bud is for you after a TD was scored?

There was a game in your last Super bowl year when you played the Houston Oilers. - It was the featured game on C4.
Both teams had really good records coming into the game (checking on Wiki you were 8-0) and it was a really close affair.
I preferred the Oilers, but i quite like the Skins, so the outcome wasn't of great importance. I distinctly remember Gary Clark (my favourite Redskin ever) taking a big shot from Oilers safety Bubba McDowell whilst coming across the middle, but just bouncing back up like it was nothing.
FWIW you won 16-13.

That was a classic game..
Shame it wasn't shown live. Would have loved to have seen all of what was a great defensive battle..

The Novak FG winner for me mainly because anything earlier
was before I got in to the sport,
The Monday night miracle would have probably been the one
but was just before my time,
Watched the Americas Game's of the three superbowl wins last
week which was great viewing.
