Round 1 (8): Nick Fairley-DT-Auburn

http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Nick+Fairley+Tostitos+BCS+National+Championship+x6 u9EVvDqg5l.jpg

Fairley is a guy we just cannot pass on with the 8th pick in the draft, we have missed a dominant defensive tackle since Albert Haynesworth left for Washington D.C. Fairley could immediatly fill that void and having his college coach Tracy Rocker as a new member of the Titans staff would make the transition as successful as possible. He has the ability to be a rookie pro bowler and become an elite DT in the league.

Round 2 (39): Ryan Mallett-QB-Arkansas

http://www1.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Ryan+Mallett+Arkansas+v+South+Carolina+wkRq6hRkmsU l.jpg

Quarterback is the biggest need for the Tennessee Titans in this years draft, and with no free agency period before the draft we will have to fill the void somehow in the early rounds. Mallett will fall into the second because of some character concerns and poor interviews. But even with this fall, there is no doubt how talented this guy really is. He has the size, arm and knowledge at the position to compete for the starting position instantly and could end up being the starter in his rookie year.

Round 3 (77): Mason Foster-OLB-Washington

http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Mason+Foster+Syracuse+v+Washington+BkFnbMpOG0yl.jp g

The Titans need an impact player in our linebacking corps and Mason Foster could be the perfect guy in the third round. He has had a solid college career at Washington and is a tackling machine. He has fantastic athletic ability and is the perfect size to play in a 4-3 defensive scheme. He is not fantastic in coverage though he has the right tools to be solid in coverage. This could be done by taking a bit of the aggression out of his game where he can get caught by misdirection.

Round 4 (109): Pierre Allen-DE-Nebraska

http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Pierre+Allen+Under+Armour+Senior+Bowl+6akEa0t8jcNl .jpg

Jason Babin will not be able to sign before the draft because of no CBA agreement, which will leave a hole on our roster during the draft which we will look to fill. The Titans did not have great trouble in getting to the quarterback with our defensive ends doing a rather solid job in that regard, but what they did struggle with was stopping the run. Allen is pretty solid in both sides of the playing defensive end but he especially does well against the run. He would be a solid pick in round four.

Round 4 (130): Jake Kirkpatrick-C-TCU

http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Jake+Kirkpatrick+Rose+Bowl+Game+Wisconsin+4b1iw49g 2t9l.jpg

Amano was truly terrible at the centre position last year for us so the Titans will have to make a move here with our compensatory pick. Kirkpatrick is a solid guy who will have no trouble coming into camp and competing instantly. He has played a high level of football throughout his college career and has helped Andy Dalton to achieve a fantastic college record. One thing you always look at when drafting a centre is how good their quarterback was and Dalton was pretty good throughout his time playing behind Kirkpatrick. You can definately see why, Kirkpatrick has great size, a good football mind and the ability to play in several different line schemes.

Round 5 (142): Joe Lefeged-S-Rutgers

http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Joe+Lefeged+2011+NFL+Scouting+Combine+Day+pQioGVeH YuAl.jpg

Chris Hope needs replacing, Lefeged wont come in as a starter but he would be good competition in camp with the likes of Robert Johnson, Myron Rolle and Nick Schommer looking to compete for the starting job. It's not out of the question that Hope is the starter under Jerry Gray, but I think Gray will identify him as a weakness to the defense and look to replace him. Lefeged possesses solid ability and good intensity in his play. Unlike Hope, Lefeged is a pretty sure tackler and is good against the run.

Round 6 (175): Dwayne Harris-WR-East Carolina

http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Dwayne+Harris+J+R+Collins+East+Carolina+v+8uWDr0Kl SQUl.jpg

We need some more playmakers on offense and we go for a gamble pick for another East Carolina player in Dwayne Harris and hope he turns out as good as the last one we drafted. Late round recievers are common picks for the Titans and I see it happening again. Harris is not too quick but he has consistant production, plays hard and comes big on third downs. It sounds like just the type of receiver the Titans need and I would use a sixth round pick to accomodate it.

Round 7 (212): Allen Bradford-RB-USC

We need a good power runner behind CJ for goal line and short yardage situations. Javon Ringer is a good relief runner and will be a good contributer again next season but CJ2K still doesn't have a guy to relieve him in the red zone. Bradford is the perfect powerful runner to come in a do the job. He has completed a solid college career, putting up solid numbers and showing his power in his running. We have missed LenDale White and Bradford will fill up the void Blount should have been able to fill last year.

Round 7 (251): Mike Blanc-DT-Auburn

http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Mike+Blanc+South+Carolina+v+Auburn+KTj9D7b9zegl.jp g

Rocker gets another one of his college guys in with Mike Blanc. This is probaby the best use we could get out of a seventh round compensatory pick getting another guy at tackle to solidify the position even more which needs to happen. Plus Blanc will stay with his coach Rocker who is the best person to get the most out of him.

So that's my mock draft for the Titans, what do you guys think?

*TRADE* Tennessee Titans trade 8th overall pick to the Detroit Lions for picks 13 and 44

Round 1 (13): Robert Quinn-DE-North Carolina

http://www2.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Robert+Quinn+East+Carolina+v+North+Carolina+yOi0vk uBlATl.jpg

He would be the best player available and could be an elite player in the future. He would also negate the need to re-sign Babin. He looks like he could be the best DE in the draft afterall. Bowers has a lot of injury worries and therefore will drop down most boards and Quinn has a more consistant motor and a lot less bad tape. I personally feel this could give the Titans one of the best DE pairings for years to come, if they pan out as NFL players, in Derrick Morgan and Robert Quinn.

Round 2 (39): Jake Locker-QB-Washington

Another option to Ryan Mallett if he drops into the second round. Locker has great intangibles and could be the best QB looking back on this draft 10 years from now. He has had a solid college career and has played in a pro style system. He is a great leader and would be a solid presence in the dressing room. A lot of his accuracy concerns have been lessened after the combine and his pro day went very well.

Round 2 (44): Bruce Carter-OLB-North Carolina

http://www3.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Bruce+Carter+North+Carolina+v+Connecticut+yzN7cJCk w_Dl.jpg

Possibly the best OLB in the draft after Von Miller, but his injury concerns troubles have stopped him from being a solid first round pick. Now there are a few OLB prospects ahead of him which will lead him to fall this far. The second Tar Heel taken by the Titans will boost our lack lustre linbacking corps and give us a better all round linebacker which we have stuggled to find over the last few years.

Round 3 (77): Terrell McClain-DT-South Florida

We need some fresh blood on the defensive line and specifically the DT position. Jason Jones and Tony Brown are good when their fit but we need some guys to produce behind them in the rotation. McClain can be that guy and I think Rocker could get a lot of production out of him.
