Trae Waynes

Now that this years draft is over I was thinking about last years first round selection Waynes and what peoples thoughts on him are.

Having not seen a great deal of him in his rookie year apart from on special teams do we think he will start on the outside opposite Rhodes this year or are we more likely to see Newman.

I guess some of it will depend on how they perform in camp etc, I remember seeing an article which said they had to basically re-teach Waynes the position but from the limited times he has played he's looked pretty good imo.

If he's not starting by the end of the year it's a worry - I think he will be though.

Newman speaks very highly of him, and think's he is going to flourish this year, let's just hope it is the case - I trust Zim to get the best out of any DBs, and he looked like Zim's pick.

I've seen some mention moving Newman to Safety and starting Waynes.

Unsure about moving Newman but would he be any worse than Sendejo?

Waynes did play in the playoff game and did get a pick.

Newman did play at safety in the Cards game (along with Harris)

I too think that Zim will get it right far more than wrong with DBs so I have faith.

NFL.com have predicted him as starting from the beginning of the season... but I think Newman will started for the first few games and Waynes will progressively get more snaps and by mid season, all being well, he'll start most games... I hope so anyway or else it just feels like a waste of a first round pick!
