Week 1. Chiefs @ Chargers.

Game thread.

The Chargers are many people’s dark horse Super Bowl tip, but they have a dismal recent record against the Chiefs. I’m expecting them to end that run here though, with the KC Defense looking vulnerable (on paper) and question marks over Patrick Mahomes at QB. Probably won’t be much in it, but I’m going for a home win.

Chargers 28 Chiefs 24

I’m never the optimist especially for the first game. I think the Chargers really need to be winning this one if they want to be considered a legitimate Challenger this year.

Bosa being ruled out (fear it could be longer) obviously is a big loss but hopefully Rochell can take his pre-season form in to Sunday and support Ingram with getting pressures on Mahomes.

Can’t see us stopping the Running Game which really was the big deciding factor in the games last year against KC. So just hoping Rivers takes advantage of a weak secondary (according to the experts) and we can get off to a winning start.

Tyreek Hill all the way to the house on his first punt return of the year. What a player!

Followed by a catch and run for another TD...

Tyreek Hill is gonna score about 30+ points on his own at this rate.

Need Rivers and the Receivers to be firing today and make it a shootout!

Haha! Two years on, different city, different coaches, still the same old comically inept, sloppy, mistake-ridden, clownshoes ****-show from the Chargers! Some things never change. So glad I gave up on this *****y franchise when they bailed. :D

Seems like you weren't the only one who bailed judging by the stadium pics yesterday.

Painful being a Charger - Built up to be let down constantly.

Funniest bit is we just expect to win next week against the Bills now, haven't we learnt anything in recent years?

Chargers gonna charger.

What has a special teams coach gotta do to get fired? As for Benjamin...just chuck him in a skip as soon as Artavis Scott is fit.
