from profootballtalk

the same 50 voters do the AP all-pro/MVP voting within 3 days of the end of the season.

Mahomes was selected as the All-pro QB 45-5 over Brees
Mahomes then wins MVP 41-9 over Brees.

I would have given Brees the nod at MVP, but Mahomes has also had a great season.

Kansas City were similarly awesome on offense last season with Alex Smith, who had the highest QB rating in the league. Patrick has been great, has done things that Alex didn't do but I would question whether his absence from the team would have impacted the Chiefs in the same way that Brees absence from the Saints would impact them.

Crash11 05.02.2019 06:10 PM

Not sure about Brees. Weeks 13-15 saw him throw only a pair of touchdowns, three interceptions, and just 177 yards per game. Up to that point he was MVP front runner. After Week 12 he was very ordinary, particularly compared to the brilliance of Mahomes

Nice to see Miami win something, no matter what it is. Miracle play against the eventual SB Champs makes it even sweeter, although any NE fan really couldn't give two hoots right now....
