As things stand, we're currently in possession of the #6 seed in the Playoffs. Unfortunately, it's extremely unlikely that we will stay there, barring an unlikely collapse from Pittsburgh or Kansas City. Still, it's been a promising first season for our new Head Coach, Todd Bowles.

As for rivalries, obviously the main one is with the Patriots with fellow division AFC East sides Miami and Buffalo next. The Dolphins used to be top of the list, but this changed when Bill Belichick backed out of becoming our Head Coach to join the Patriots. Unfortunately, we played a big part in the Patriots long running dominance of the NFL, injuring their then QB Drew Bledsoe and inadvertently unleashing Tom Brady on the league...

New York's "other" team (the Giants) are also obviously rivals, although we only tend to play them once every four years. It's not as big as our divisional rivalries (imo anyway) but it still felt damn good to beat them a few weeks back...

The main question this off-season will be what we do with probably our best player, Mo Wilkerson. He's due a big new contract but, with our Defensive Line the deepest position on our team, we may decide to trade him instead. I hope we find a way to keep him, as there's few (if any) as good as him and he would be a massive loss to our Defense.

In the Draft, we'll likely use a high pick on a pass rushing Outside Linebacker with Offensive Line help another possibility. Quarterback always seems to be a question mark for this team. Ryan Fitzpatrick has done very well this season, after getting an unexpected opportunity when Geno Smith had his jaw broken by a now former teammate. However, he's not a long term solution at his age so we do need to find someone for the future. We drafted Bryce Petty in the last Draft and he has potential, though he's far from a sure thing.

Fitzpatrick will be a Free Agent next season, but we're likely to make re-signing him a priority. Other key players due to hit the market are RBs Chris Ivory and Bilal Powell and NT Damon Harrison. Ivory is one of the best power backs in the league, although he is injury prone, while Powell is a solid backup who is also one of the better pass catching backs around. However, teams in today's NFL are wary of paying big money to RBs, as they have a relatively short shelf life and it is a mainly pass dominated league. Harrison doesn't get as much recognition as our other Defensive Linemen but is every bit as important. I fully expect him to be re-signed.

I'll leave it to others when it comes to merchandise/fan clubs, hope you enjoy the rest of the season!
Thanks for the reply Wayne, an interesting read. Around me and in the family I've got a spread of people who support different teams, my dad supports Cleveland Browns, his mate who we speak to about the NFL supports Washington redskins, my brother in law supports Seattle Seahawks and my brother supports San Francisco 49ers. My brother was telling me, he expects Colin kaepernick to leave them at the end of the season, and with our situation at quarterback as you described it, do you think there is any chance we may take him? Also my dads friends who is the redskins fan went to see them play the jets a few weeks back, he said what a fantastic stadium and atmosphere there was at the MetLife and only had positive things to say!
