Wonder what Reid got (after signing his new deal in Carolina too).
Guessing that it covers loss of earnings and he'd have to give a chunk back if he ever signs with a team.

I know he's 'lost' some earnings, but if he's got the reported $80m then that's more guaranteed money than Aaron Rodgers got on his last contract extension. Only Matt Ryan and Kirk Cousins got more. Plus, I bet some of that guaranteed money in those QB contracts is guaranteed for injury only.

If they awarded him this settlement because of lost earnings or evidence of collusion amongst the owners/league, then it would be strange if he had to give some back if he's signed. After all, they've obviously found CK/Reid were wronged in some way.

Tbh, I've lost track of the whole chain of events (just reading SI's latest article).

It makes me laugh though to read about how this settlement is basically a draw, nobody 'won'. The world is so childish at times. Clearly CK came out of this better than the NFL, even if the NFL/owners didn't have to say they were wrong. You don't award someone millions of dollars if they were wrong all along.

in fairness yes Kaepernick may have won if the settlement covers lost earnings and the numbers around $60m+ covers 3/4 years of starting QB money(he is 31 now so how much has he lost already and maybe going forward if 36 year old can still earn $15m+) but also the owners hardly lost with the fact there will be no public discovery now and the cost to each team to make this go away is only $2m+.

reports the AAF asked about Kaepernick and where quoted $20m+ which maybe shows he is not serious about getting back on any field.

Interesting comments from Antonio Brown on Ben Roethlisberger. Actually agree with him on this, remember BR calling out his teammates during the season and thinking he was out of line.

not sure Brown is doing the right thing trying to get traded via social media, seems he will now meet the owners next week now and he has burning bridges but they have to try and get full market value but other teams must see that the Steelers need to sell and maybe ready to low-ball.

the two comments AB liked yesterday did seem to go outside the bounds of Ben making comments about players on the field and seemed to be more about decade old serious criminal allegations.

He's turning into a bit of an attention seeker is ol' AB.

The Steelers are a social media circus these days though. The sooner BR, AB and LB are broken up the better.

Good move by the Dolphins imo, thought McKenzie did a solid job overall in Oakland.
