Default Has Lynch Retired?

Still no sign of Lynch handing in his papers I can only think of two possible reasons:

1. The Seahawks want their signing bonus back and Lynch wants to keep it.

2. Lynch wants to be cut by the Seahawks to keep his options open next season. If a play-off team needs an RB in December or January due to injuries beast mode might just step onto the stage one last time.

If he watch trying to leverage something from the seahawks would we not have had some new cryptic tweets or his agent talking publicaly.

Any chance he just wants to skip OTA's and most of pre-season like Strahan did years back....

Seahawks can put him on the reserve/retired list and maintain his rights over the length of his contract whether he signs his papers or not. His public statement is enough to qualify for this list.

We're still on the hook guaranteed money whether the team does that or if they release him.

I suspect the conversation is more to do with whether the Seahawks want to take the whole hit now or spread it over the 2016 and 2017 seasons. With the way that FA and the Draft worked out, I suspect we will see him moved to the list by June 1st and take the hit over a single season.
