Default Rember 9/24

Individual matches are remembered because of unusual weather conditions (the Ice Bowl & the Fog Bowl) or extraordinary events (like the Titans finishing 1 yard short in a Super Bowl -- with apologies to any Titans' fans for bringing it up). But has any match ever had such a profound effect on the course of an NFL season as the Monday Nighter at Seattle?
Locking out the regular officials meant that the League presided over such a shameful injustice when no other matches were being played as a distraction that, 3 short days later, the "real refs" were back for the next Thursday Nighter.
If not for the Seattle Shambles, we might still be suffering the crimes of the "repo refs". Has any other single match had the same sort of impact on the League as a whole? Suggestions invited.

Undoubtedly it was a bad decision. You still lost.

It does not need another whole thread. Get over it.

Keep banging the drum....the more and more petty the bang sounds.

Get over it. If the Packers are 1 game short then they haven't performed well enough

Yes, we still lost and yes, we're trying to get over it. But that's not the point. This one is for historians, not social workers.
