Careful, it's that kind of tone that might put people off...

"The NFLUK Survey asking opinions about the NFLUK site is as crap as the site itself? I don't believe it!!"

Said no one. Ever.

I'm curious, why is a survey needed when there are multiple detailed discussion topics on this forum on this subject?

I think you already know the answer to that question.

Exec 1: "Some people on a forum attached to our site are complaining about its running, its quality, its inclusiveness etc. What should we do?"
Exec 2: "Whats a forum?"
Exec 3: "I've just asked Alexa, and it appears to be some kind of archaiac Twitter where people can used more than 250 characters to formulate discussions and voice their opinions amongst like mined individuals. Hmm."
Exec 4: "Why dont we do what we normally do when it comes to fans and their thoughts, put up a survey and make look like we are listening. Also to make sure it gets maximum reach, just put it on the forum. Not on the front page of the site or on social media. We mustnt draw attention to these technological Luddites."

Sounds about right.

My response will be more negative because the fact they are even asking shows how out of they are.
