Default Chip Kelly Appointed HC

So as said on other threads it's Chip!
Pro's -Should get some better O play!
Surely learned his lesson about concentrating
on coaching and not player personnel!
Cons-He seems to get his players backs up!
Will probably give Kap another crack!

How u all feeling bout it?

Given the lack of credible available candidates we have done ok. Having said that I already think Kap is a lost cause and with this hiring we probably keep Kap and hence less cap money to sign quality free agents. If Chip gets to 8-8 he will have done well and may get another season. If he bombs out then he goes and Baalke with him.

Decent appointment considering what's out there ,had 2 decent years at Philly before it turned sour will suit him that he will just have to concentrate on coaching it's what he does best

Little bit of a gamble hiring Chip but worth it given our current situation. Doesn't have a bad record with the Eagles and the wheels only came off when he made some questionable personnel changes which won't happen at SF. Kinda hope we still ditch Kap though and go QB in the draft. Overall cause for optimism at the moment which I couldn't say this tie last year.

Really don't know enough about the guy to say yay or nay but he intrigues me. He's a forward thinker from what I've read/seen but more research is required.

Biggest thing to keep an eye on will be if he can play nice with Baalke. Tom Gamble apparently is very good friends with Chip so hopefully he can be the Carmen Policy in this situation.

Eagles could have done us a favour by giving him his NFL education, let's hope he's learned from his mistakes in PHI.

Well, it's an appointment with plenty of upside to it, and not another yes-man... as good as we could have hoped for, even if it has the potential to backfire.

Personnel is going to be key given the holes in the roster, let's hope he's given time even if the first season isn't a winning one. Less chance of chasing a first round QB now so maybe possibilities to trade down from #7 for a bundle of picks? And if it backfires, and Kap stays crap or Blaine gets the blame, and it's another losing season, then go QB next year.
