5 prime time games. Add in a couple on Sky and you're probably only looking at 9-10 games being available on Gamepass. So if you're like me and don't watch much of the NFL Network, the price per game is going to be fairly high.

Riggo - what's the weather typically like in Mid October? I plan to travel over to see either the Detroit or Chicago game. Travel expenses are much cheaper in October (plus I'd rather see the Bears), but I'm going with my Dad who feels the effects of his stroke more in cold weather. That said, he did sit through the Saints-Chargers game at Wembley with no ill effects.

Tough schedule, wouldn't be surprised if there's a slight dip in record from last year, but if RG3 is healthy and continues his development, I'm ruling nothing out.

I was there in week 6 last season (October 14) and it was t-shirt weather. It was a 4:25 kick off as well but even at 7:30 or so when the game finished it was still very mild and no jacket needed. I don't know is that unusual for the time of year though. the Bears game though is a week later so I don't know how much of a drop in temp there would be but it is an earlier kick off time.

My photos from the game are linked on page 2 of this thread https://forum.nfluk.com/showthread.php?t=91319 so you can get some idea of the weather I had.

Yeah, I remember you posting these shortly after. Must have been a fantastic experience. My one previous visit was towards the end of September 2008 (how promising the Zorn era looked that day!) and the weather was fantastic. I think it'll be fine and I suspect the excitement of the day will overcome any other issues my father may have.

Much like you, I am looking at Arlington-Pentagon as an area to stay. The hotels are noticeably cheaper than central DC, although if I find a decent deal, I'm happy to stay centrally. Bethesda looks to be another place easily accessible by metro with cheaper hotels. However, I'll be asking for local advice on the Extremeskins site (been a member for several years) and I definitely plan to attend their tailgate party.

There's more variation in temps in DC than what I found when living in England. Most probably you will need a jacket in October, and maybe a sweater underneath a jacket for your dad, just in case.
