I never realised it was a safety issue. :-[

Visors are bad and not cool.

They are not, I know one guy that had one, but he had a clear one, and when he got leveled in a game, he learnt that visors are not cool, and they are not intimidating.

When he gains the use of his legs I'll tell you!

Fair enough. Looking cool isn't worth that much.

(I refer you to my earlier statements about the team rookie looking like a dweeb wearing a visor)

i suppose long sleeves would be permitted in $#!+ weather but visors are just pointless efforts at trying to look 'cool'

Tinted visors can help a Tailback from letting the defense see his eyes, which can give a play away to an experienced defense, but weren't they originally for epileptics?

Shouldn't be allowed: it's for injury diagnosis.

So what happens if Brian Dawkins gets injured?

not been mentioned before in this thread but a clear visor can help prevent eye injuries. one of our players making a tackle got a finger in his eye, through his face cage with caused damage to his eye.
admittedly most british players choose a tinted visor as a fashion statement but there are other reasons for choosing one.
