Win SB51, I think Bellicheck makes the call and says to Tom - final farewell year 2017/18 then Garopollo comes in. Just my thoughts...
The Pats gave Brady a 2 year $40m extension this off-season that means his dead money would be $27m if we moved on in 2017 or $14m if we moved on in 2018.That kind of dead money plus having to pay Jimmy G Brock type money would really effect the chances of keeping Collins/Hightower/Butler.2019 when Brady salary cap hit is $22m but we can move on for around $7m seems the best transistion.

Unless Brady gets injured or he turns into 2015 Peyton there is no way we can make Jimmy G the full time starter.

I think these next 3 games are also Jimmy G's chance to showcase himself, picking up potential interest from teams such as the Bears, 49ers, Browns etc...

Time will tell but I don't know how keen he'd be if he plays well weeks 1-4 and is then Brady's back up again for another 2-3 years.

You don't have to move on in 17, this isn't a contract year for Jimmy, he has another year on his deal. You don't have to give him Brock money either, just keep him on the roster.

At least our chances of keeping Jimmy went up...

In all seriousness, he was excellent I thought. Brissett is decent, hopefully we can scheme a way past Houston on Thursday night.

QQuestion is, do I order a Garoppolo jersey to collect at Wembley at the weekend? lol
I seem to have a tendancy to buy jerseys that quickly become irrelevant! (such as my Kenbrell Thompkins jersey!) lol
