Default CBS coverage next season

So with Dan Dierdorf bowing out after Saturdays divisonal round Ian Eagle & Dan Fouts are the #2 pairing from next season.

Thoughts? Personally I like these two. Wonder what happens to Gumbel? I like him aswell

That link doesn't seem to say Eagle/Fouts have been confirmed as the #2 pairing, just the writer suggesting they should.

Personally, I would like to see Harlan promoted.

Of course the real blow is the confirmation that Simms remains no1

I like Fouts a lot though still seems to be tainted from the Dennis Miller experiment. Obviously a lot better than Simms but a network is always going to pick a star NFC East QB over a Hall of Fame small market QB unfortunately.

I used to love that commentary team for MNF back then with Michaels, Miller and Fouts.
Seem to remember some of Millers wise cracks having me in stitches.

There has to be a drinking game there hasn't there. At least a drink for every time he shows off by saying that he was talking to someone important before the game...

I never really had a problem with Nantz, he always seemed pretty old school call the game kind of guy.
Or maybe I'm happy because he's talking at the time and Simms is not..

That could be it, or you don't watch any other sports he commentates on?!

He can make skin crawlingly cheesy comments. He wants to turn everything into an epic.

ESPN try to use Tom Rinaldi in a Nantz way.

The heart rendering story of a multi million dollar golfer just missing a putt to win a major, queue heart rendering music, clips of the family and a cheesy voiceover to make said Golfer sound like a hero.....ugh.
