I'm writing an off-season review for every team and my Saints review got posted today. Feel free to check it out as I recap their free agency spending and their draft before giving a final review and grade.

Good read, thanks. Not keen on grades this time of year as it's largely guesswork
and the whole thing could be scuppered by injury or suspension.

I thought our draft was OK we picked up a few UDFAs for the line who'll probably
do a solid job.

Evans has been poor by his standards for a couple of years, he hasn't been picked up
yet, but might get a look after the various camps have evaluated their positions.

Williams was decent last year, but age has probably caught up with him. Fairley could
be great or awful, I liked the Rankins pick.

Shame to see the back of Colston, he's been great for us. Hope the guy from Ohio state
can step up, also brought in Vincent Brown from San Diego and hope he carries on the
trickle of talent from So Cal!

With my rosey tinted homer specs, I think we're in for a shout for the division given that
the panthers will drop back a bit following their SB loss and there isn't much between us,
the Falcons or buccs.

Are there still a few Saints fans active here?

I'm still lurking, not much happening at the moment. Hoping for a better season
excited by a couple of the draft picks, love the Rankins move and the wide out from
Ohio State. The safety we drafted has potential too.
Hopefully we get a determined Nick Fairley, if so our line looks decent which will help
out the rest of the D.

Offence should be OK. Brees probably has at least one more good year in him, interesting
what kind of deal they agree on. Its risky but I think we should say goodbye after this year
and look to the future, we're nowhere near elite even with him and another contract will
putvus back into cap hell next year.

99.9% of the time now I'm on saints report.
Probably since its busier and this site doesn't work on the computers at work.

Looking forward to this new season though.

Well that was a disaster

Not sure what happened in the 4th as gamepads was playing up, probably for the best.

From what I saw, our D looked OK for large parts of the game until the wheelscwell and truly came off at the end.

Game changed when Breaux went down. The worry is the next 6 weeks without him.

I post on a blog if anyone is interested. There is a season preview and week 1 review up

Getting tickets was a nightmare! Ended up having to buy a hotel package through Thomas Cook Sport.
Cost more than I wanted to spend, but we were planning to book a hotel anyway and no way was I missing this game
