Done deal according to Schefter , on a 5 year deal.

Filed to ESPN: Jim Harbaugh is expected to agree to a five-year contract with the 49ers.

Press conference now called by San Fran at 3.30.

Just seen the tweet from Adam Schefter too. One would think it's a done deal now then. If so, Harbaugh has a lot of building work to do there.

Jay Glazer and Mort reporting it too. Mort says he's signing the contract in 10 mins. The last coach to move from Stanford to the 49ers was Bill Walsh.

Good move by the Niners. Top class coach.

Would not be surprised to see Alex Smith stay at the Niners under him, theres not a chance in hell that a guy like Troy Smith is his kinda QB.

Jake Locker or Gabbert could be the guys they look at in the draft though. I think Harbaugh would prefer one of those two as opposed to Cam Newton.
