Default TO for Dallas?

Quote:
"I'm avoiding, deliberately avoiding, saying whether or not the Cowboys would be interested. He's a player that is a competitive player. He's an outstanding addition to an offense ... In general, I am a risk-taker. We've gone down that road. We've had some situations that worked and some that didn't. Alonzo Spellman had a great year with us. Alonzo certainly had some issues ... I probably have a propensity to try and make things work ... We've got a quarterback in Bledsoe who is arguably as fine a long-ball thrower as there is in the league. A top receiver could flourish with Drew Bledsoe. That's always appealing.''

-- Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, on the Dunham and Miller Show on KCTK in Dallas, on the prospect of Terrell Owens playing for the Cowboys in the future.
Quote from Peter King at SI.

Mark it down, TO's going to Dallas.

Dawk's gonna kill him next season ...

The one where he got in Bledsoe's face earlier this season when he was picked by Lito.

Imagine if that had been TO ... it would have been headline news from here to Mars ...

You're right about the Owens bit but that was no ego show. It was a disagreement initiated by Bledsoe.

Hey, I'm not saying he's been bad since he came to Dallas, but the guy has a track record, y'know? It was more of a light-hearted comment anyway. I'm sure they'd be pretty hard to stop with Owens, Johnson and Glenn all fit.

Its this lumping KJ in with Owens. That guy is in a league of his own for the antics and stunts he pulls.

I wouldn't touch him with a barge pole personally beyond a one season deal whereby he would get to prove his point, and Dallas would benefit like the Eagles did last year. Anything longer than that with him is stupid beyond belief.

Just when I thought Jerry had learned his lesson and become an excellent GM, he goes and says a dumb-ass thing like this. Sometimes he just cant help himself. Theres far too many reasons why he shouldn't end up at Dallas; far too many to mention here. All I will say in the matter is I hope this is just a polite 'put-on-the-spot' comment, with no substance behind it. Keep that trash away from Texas.

Oh and yeah, the TO/KJ comparisons are a total non-starter. People can't help repeating the same lazy comments regarding KJ, regardless of their accuracy (thats not aimed at you BTW Sedge, just a general observation).
