To fair RVP can be a tad annoying.
I'm hoping he is that friend of Cisse

3-2 now. Dutch just need to score two more and hope Iceland can nick one in about five minutes...

Rebuild time for the Dutch. Out with the old, in with the new.

Don't the Dutch have one of the most lauded youth systems around too? Great grassroots football? Yet they haven't qualified for a major tournament this time round. I think that highlights the complexity of England's issues.

Apparently they are sticking with Blind for next tournament, at the moment at least

While that's true, the respective populations always have to be considered. Netherlands have for 40+ years been considered one of the regular contenders despite only being around a third/quarter of other European top teams. Not saying it's the only reason, but every now and again surely no matter how good your youth development is you're bound to have a drier well.

I see they didn't even get a playoff place. Wow,in what has been the easiest Euros to qualify for years for as well...

tbh they ended up in a group like we did in 2008 (Turkey/Czechs and we had Croatia/Russia) and then Iceland putting it altogether.

but anyone half decent should be able of make it through given the silly number of sides let in.
