Sorry Tom, but personally I don't think he's a great fit to be honest.

He's certainly not a legit #1 WR, and is too similar to the other WRs we already have on the roster (Camarillo, Bess and Hartline). The Dolphins do not need extra depth at WR... we have plenty of depth... but what we are lacking is that legit #1 WR.

Curtis is not a legit #1, and is also not needed for depth, so therefore simply just doesn't fit IMHO.

Yeah i agree. Just a thought as FA isn't giving many choices at receiver.

The Fins don't seem to be doing much in FA so it looks like we are going to fill most of our holes in the draft. And see how it goes from there.

Agree with Cornish in that Curtis is not a good fit for us. He is very similar to what we have and what Miami need is a 6ft 4 type who gives us a real presence in the endzone and can stretch the field. After years of searching for that protype we are still without.

Yeah exactly Ramsio. It's no disrespect to Curtis, who is a decent player in his own right... but is very similar in style to Bess, Hartline and Camarillo. We don't really need another WR like that. What we need is that big, physical genuine #1 WR. Another Andre Johnson would be perfect!

I have just seen that Sparano isn't interested in TO or Marshall. I can understand why but he said he is happy with who he has. Who else is out there that can become our #1 receiver? Or is he waiting for the draft. There are a few recievers in the draft so a round two WR looks likely.

http://miamiherald.typepad.com/rollout/

The reason why we haven't gone after OJ Atogwe.

That explains alot. After reading that article, I guess he could still be an outside option for us.

There is no wideout on the unrestricted market that is worthy of being a number one guy. The only way we can get a veteran guy in is either via a trade or if a player is a restricted free agent and both ways will cost a draft pick/s.
