The depth charts are never really announced persay. But the best idea of who will be starting etc, will be after/during a teams training camp.

sorry, seeing as theres no college section and this is just a simple question, how do college teams determine their schedules?

There are 119 college teams who play at the highest level, Division I. Since it is impossible to play every team, they arrange themselves into regional leagues called "conferences".

There are generally about 10 to 12 teams in a conference. College teams play about 12 games in a season so they also must play "out-of-conference" games.

It's up to the colleges to negotiate the scheduling of out-of-conference games. Schedules and dates are set years in advance. Many teams already know their 2012 schedule, for example.

6 major conferences in Division I usually produce a national champion; Big Ten, Big East, Pac 10 (Pacific 10), SEC (Southeastern Conference), ACC (Atlantic Coast Conference), and Big 12.

Some teams don't belong to any conference, they are called "Independents". The most famous Independent team is Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Two service academies, Navy and Army, are also independent. Independents must negotiate the schedule of every game they play.

Rivalries are intense in college football. Rivals play against each other once a year and fans look most forward to those rivalry games.

Hope that helps.

PS: College section is now called "NFL Draft"

Don't forget the immense might of the other div1a indepedant that is the powerhouse of Temple

Depth charts just indicate who are the starting, 2nd-string and 3rd-string players for each position.

It shows the status of each player on team's 53-man roster.

If a 2nd-string player at linebacker impresses a coach during practice but the 1st-string LB disappoints the coach during games, they'll be switched up by the coach and the 2nd-string player has become the starter at linebacker.

I don't think so, although with the limited size of the roster, the number per position tends to be self limiting. Some teams will carry only two QB's. Others will carry three. Also will depend on the systems being employed defensively and offensively. A 3-4 team will require more linebackers than those playing 4-3, with more middle linebackers needed than with a 4-3 team. A team employing a 1 back set may only carry a single player who might be considered a fullback, but carry an additional tight end.

How To post pictures

Press this button, In the "add tags" menu of the reply/ add new topic form. Then inbetween the two tags, type or copy the hyperlink of the picture that you want to post. Pictures need to already be posted on the internet - you can't do them from your PC.

You shouldn't be doing that, it's called image leeching and means that every time someone views that image on here you're using someone elses bandwidth and that costs them money, if it's a small site you're leeching from and a lot of people look at it here then it can even bring their site down.

If it's an official site like they probably won't notice, but if it's someone hosting on their own money they may well get annoyed and decide to change the image so that what you're displaying here becomes, shall we say, unpleasant. I know a couple of people who have a special stock of very nasty pics (goatse, lemonparty etc) reserved just for this purpose.

There are plenty of free sites such as imageshack, waffleimages, putfile etc that will let you host images, it only takes a few seconds to save something and rehost it and if you have firefox etc there are scripts around to make it even easier.

I'm not sure how likely it is that it'll actually happen given the low traffic here most of the time, just seems silly to actually recommend it like there's no other option when there's a chance it could lead to giant **** images in random threads
