So I'm noticing a distinct lack of activity in the Lions sub forum.
We need to resurrect this place a little. Suggestions?

Willy, who was quite active on here has his hands full with a young family. Must be Lions apathy kicking in

On a different note though, we could at least be cheering on Javid Best at the Olympics, be great to see him there

Yeah it's a shame Willy got busy with life as I really liked his idea of a fan club and reading his 'Born Free' News letter whenever it came out.

Stinking up Wembley against the Chiefs last season and now Megatron jacking it in (probably our best player for the last several years and certainly since IS games started) really hasn't helped us attract any new fans this side of the pond I don't think - you'd kinda need to be a sadist to choose the Lions as your team without any other reasons - i.e. family connections or perhaps already a Detroit team fan from one of the other 3 major sports (NBA, MLB or NHL).

So yes all that makes here a grave-yard (plus with the internet you can find plenty of Lions forums stateside to join - even the Lions own website has one so just makes here kind of redundant right now).

Who knows maybe if the Lions ever get hot bandwagoners might mozzie on in here but till then think your struggle for much from this sub forum sadly.

As Deanali & BlueLionman mentioned I have limited time for this forum and Fan Club due to family commitments &, in fairness, general UK Lions fan apathy. Also tend to spend my limited online Social Media time on Twitter rather than here where too often felt like I was having conversation with myself.

As with the start of the Fan Club I think for those wishing for more activity on here then do as I used to do and just keep posting messages. There are plenty of UK Lions fans out there as the two IS games proved and sooner or later people will start to respond
