In return for what though? He's 33, had injury issues in the past, like you say hasn't had a stellar year, and he's in the final year of his contract....................

Plus, it could be a bit like Leary. Everyone wanted to trade him too, then he ends up an important starter. Is Chaz Green ready (or healthy) to take over at RT? Without Free who is competing with Green for that RT spot?

I think it's more likely that they re-do Free's deal. Add another year or two and bring down his 2017 cap number. You keep a veteran presence and depth on the O line.

Win the O Line award! I have to say the Raiders line has been fairly awesome and the Packers, even without Sitton good too. What will happen next season?

La'el Collins is going to get a chance to win the RT job apparently.

True to the Cowboys. Take a college tackle, train him at guard....then push him back out to tackle. We'll see how it goes......

Dont know whats going on with Chaz Green, not like the team to give up on a highish draft choice-not that they have of course, just trying to find the right guy, and giving Collins a chance to win it.Bit scary this one, cant see Collins having the feet and blocking skills for tackle, but if he does make it then who plays LG? guess Cooper steps in and Looney is the back up G and C

Obviously early days but perhaps they are hoping for Smith/Cooper/Frederick/Martin/Collins.

I wonder if Collins' contract comes into it too? If he shows he can start at G or RT then all the reason to re-sign him. If he can't play T then perhaps they move on? or they see he's a better RT than Green and move on from Green early instead.

Contain, Tunsil and Stanley were all top 10 guys.......they could have had Ramcyzk at #28 (or Robinson) though this year???

Ah yes Contain forgot about him lol! quite liked Cleary when he filled in but get the impression they want him as the swing

Jack Contain, born to be a stifling offensive lineman!

Cant help but feel that we'll hear all summer long about La'el Collins at RT and Jonathan Cooper at LG, then once Training Camp is in the books Collins ends up back at LG and Chaz Green starts at RT.

Of course, that scenario would require Chaz Green to stay healthy, which given his history is a long shot. Plus if Collins spends all summer taking reps at RT then he might be a little rusty if he returned to LG.

Cooper has the 'TOP 10 PICK' tag, but that's it though. He's started 14 games in 5 years and been released by 3 teams, including the Browns. It's nice to believe you can pick up a top 10 talent off the street and plug him straight into your O line, but it seems another long shot in all honesty.

The loss of Leary and Free will truly test the impact/importance of Smith, Frederick and Martin.

Dont think anyone saw the retirement of Free coming and it threw a spanner in the plans. It would be good if either Collins or Green get established at RT cos that could be a headache all season, and the signing of Dan Skipper i dont think will help much-didnt rate him on tape.Skipper becomes the tallest player ever for the Boys
