Yeah I think you could well be right Paul. As I say, I wasn't 100% on the ins and outs. What I said is roughly in the right ballpark, but not necessarilly completely correct! The money/contract side of the NFL is confusing at the best of times!

Personally Id stay clear and leave him for the rest of the league. Id rather keep working with our own investments (Marshall, Bess and Hartline) because they are still young and this experience now will only be beneficial for the team going forward.

Moss would be an expensive half season wonder and judging by the way he has played so far, we might get no return.

No to Moss.. He takes plays off. No thanks. I think the Seahawaks might grab him anyway.

Moss is an upgrade on Hartline who hasn't done it this year and made Marshall a more marked man than usual for opposing D's.

Moss is a great decoy and Marshall would benefit from him being on the field.
Its not acoincidence Welker has dropped off the chart since Moss left Foxboro. I'd take him, he gives us more of a chance of making the playoffs.

btw - Childress is an idiot. Completely burnt a3rd rounder and any of his remaining credibility. Anything less than a NFCCG appearance and he's gone

Dan Carpenter has been named AFC Special Teams player of the week for the 2nd time this season. The way he's playing, he could be making a return to the Pro Bowl.

Just a shame the offense can't seem to convert a few more of these drives into TDs to cut down on his FGs!

At least he stays out of the AFC East. When he can be bothered Moss is unplayable

We probably backed out once it was confirmed Tenn actually ut in a waiver, we were nearly more interested in spoiling than getting him.

Would've been interesting how teams would've coped with the M&M attack though! We all knwo which one would've been the nut one......

Merriman was in our radar though, not much of a surprise and certainly worth a look for the remainder of the season for any 3-4 team before looking at the future.

both players could also come with compensatory picks in the offseason if they leave as free agents I believe.

Post Waivers

We have gained NATE NESS off waivers from Seattle.

http://www.nfl.com/players/nateness/...e?id=NES275900

He is a CB who was with the Fins in 2009 but did nothing. . no stats for him at all. He has played 1 game with the Seahawks with 4 tackles and 1 assist, however Darrius Heyward-Bay killed him last week in the Oakland game. . so unsure how good this guy is?

Interesting that the Dolphins would have actually got Moss if they had put in the waiver claim as they were expected to. It would have been interesting to pair him with Marshall, but it was probably a wise move to stear clear of him.
