Washington continue to make the most almighty pigs ear of the Kirk Cousins situation

It appeared they seemed to realise that when signing Alex Smith, Kirk Cousins had won the battle against the Front Offic. Clearly Washington refuse to accept that fact

This thing is going to drag on, and on isn't it.

No one is going to trade for Cousins imo. Would the Redskins carry that tag number and bench Cousins out of spite? Wouldn't surprise me, but i'm guessing the Redskins just draw this out as long as possible then ultimately Cousins signs elsewhere.

It's such a stupid idea, they have no leverage, any team can sit and wait, Washington would be screwed financially and would end up doing an Osweiller paying someone to take on his salary
The Pats tagged Matt Cassell and managed to get a 2nd round pick and move Mike Vrabels contract to the Chiefs.

might sound strange but think its really smart of the Redskins to atleast make it sound like they are willing to keep Cousins off the start of the free market and as long as Kirk doesn't call there bluff and sign the tender they can hang on till May before withdrawing the tag(Like Josh Norman a few years back)which could frustrate teams who want Cousins but need to get him signed first before they can see what other free agents they can sign.

we saw Smith who was always finished in KC get moved now rather than wait for his release nearer March so wonder if a team may think giving up a #2 now then atleast get to speak to Kirk to find out what he wants.

Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson was killed today in a crash involving an apparent drunk driver.
Rest in peace Edwin...absolutely horrific.
