well, I will be out till late on thursday so it's going to be late that night before the results are up as to who got who!
normally like to give people a few days to look about so could do friday - sunday as well, not sure if things are generally slower at weekends, maybe need to avoid that!

Was thinking UDFA for wed, thurs, fri next week or is that pushing it given we still have a full round to go?
hoping with some teams having multiple/consecutive picks this round we might get through it quicker?
I think the Fri-Sun works well if better for you Mick - gives us an extra day or two to finish the round and if we do an extra day or two to scout UDFAs

Oops, I blame my migraine...

EDIT: I’ve also got the Raiders pick, so I’ll post that then have a lie down...

New York Jets’ Draft

1. (3) Josh Allen, EDGE, Kentucky
2. (51) Marquise Brown, WR, Oklahoma
4. (105) Lamont Gaillard, G/C, Georgia
6. (196) Oli Udoh, G/T, Elon
7. (217) Mark Fields, CB, Clemson

Fair to say this Draft didn’t go according to plan, although I’m still happy with the players I got. Had one offer to move down from #3, which I maybe should have taken, but I didn’t want to miss out on one of the top pass rushers. Wanted to trade up into the second round for a Center, but I ended up turning down a deal that would have ensured I got Elgton Jenkins because I wasn’t thinking straight (damn head cold), and ended up being pipped by the Vikings.

Ended up trading up anyway and taking Marquise Brown who, while not filling a pressing need necessarily, gives Sam Darnold an explosive weapon who can score from anywhere on the field.

Lamont Gaillard has a shot at eventually winning the Center job, if he gets stronger and irons out some technique flaws. At worst, he will provide much needed depth along the interior OL.

Was happy to get Oli Udoh in the 6th. He’s undoubtedly raw, but there’s plenty of potential there and I think he has a shot to be a starting Guard down the line.

I came close to picking Mark Fields in the 6th round, and really didn’t expect him to be there for my 7th rounder, so it wasn’t a difficult decison when he was still there at #217. Ran a 4.37 40 at the Combine, and his press coverage skills are highly rated, so it was a no-brainer for me.
