Olin Kreutz is a great player but how can you define a centre as a team MVP (at least from a spectators point of view)?
Rearrange these words to make a well known phrase and you'll see why Olin was there -

Straws, at, clutching ..

he is great player no doubt, but his inclusion is indicative of the season we have had so far ...

Funny poll on the home page of the official site today ...

Who is the Bears MVP so far this year ..

Jones, Maynard, Kreutz and Urlacher as well as other ...

WTF are they kidding or what ...

Should have been two choices in Jones and Maynard and that about sums up the season thus far ...
If I had to pick 4, I'd have put Urlacher in there. Just for that hit on Green to force the fumble in Lambeau at the perfect time alone, he's worth his place.
Kreutz isn't playing up to his usual standard but who else have we got? MVP is a joke. Least Worst Player would be more appropriate...

A really good example of the indiscipline of this team. The kid has now been fined twice in 4 weeks. You've got to learn the first time.

My beloved Niners are hardly playing well at the moment but atleast we've got a half decent QB in Tim Rattay and the defense isn't playing that badly. Shame we've lost Julian Peterson for the season mind.

I saw Chicago play well enough against the Eagles in week four but their offense really never got going and they are really struggling second bottom in the NFC. With Rex Grossman gone for the year my guess is that neither Jonathan Quinn and Craig Krenzel are currently up to the job.

Too bad Bears fans I reckon us pathetic Niners are going to take you down sunday night. ;D

Hi Goldrusher,
Da Bears have won the last three out of four games agenst the niners, but I have to say when the niners beat us they beat us.....49-7 first game of the season last year :'(
Its to close to call this weekend, both teams desperatly need a win. We have a major QB problem, but Coach Smith is givin the rookie Craig Krenzel the call over the mighty Quinn ( : ).
Key match ups are : Da Bears secondary agenst Tim Rattay passing game, squeiching the niners ball control offence and controling the clock on offencive side of the ball.
I'm looking forward to it,its on ESPN Sunday night football,so the nation will see it....ok its 49ers v Da Bears not really going to set the night on fire....... :-\

Well lets face the terrible truth its hardly a stellar matchup of two strong sides now is it. To be brutually honest if I didn't follow the Niners I definitely wouldn't even watch this game as it would offer me zero interest but I do wonder how bad we are now afterall we did give the Jets a game before falling down in the 4th quarter and shock horror the Jets are decent side at the moment so i'm going in feeling slighty optimistic, only slightly mind we are 1-5!!!
