Default QB Options 2016

What do you guys think about the QB situation, with Fitzpatrick out of contract soon, Will he get another one and be the main QB or will we draft another one, if we do draft, who do you want or think we will get ?

Bowles has been on record stating he'd like Fitz back so I think we will look to bring him back. It then really depends on how much Fitz is wanting, he's old and coming off the best season of his career so maybe he looks to get his last big pay day.

But on the other hand, he probably knows that this is the best play for him if he wants to end his career on a high note. He's not had success away from Chan Gailey, and he's unlikely to end up on a team that has receivers as good as Decker and Marshall. If his asking price is not outrageous then he should have a chance to define his career as a late bloomer as oppose to journeymen who bounced around the league a lot.

Salary cap will be between $150 and $154 next year, It would be nice to keep him under $15 million a year.

The issue with the jets is you have 2 players and only 1 tag and the QB franchise tag is pretty high so unless Ryan decides to accept a deal before free agency or be maybe the best in a pool which may include RGIII and maybe Kaepernick.

If Tannehill can get $15m a year surely Fitzpatrick is going to be looking for atleast $25m over 2 years as its maybe his last big payday and there a few QB needy teams.good time to have your best year after signing a 1 year deal.

Agree Woolley. Someone could massively overpay him based on what he's done for us this season. I hope it isn't us. He is still the same player he always was I think, but he's got a team and OC that really suit him here. He's unlikely to find a better situation ever. Nice to keep Fitz but I see it as a far lower priority than Mo.

If you look around the league if Nick Foles can get near $10m a year and if Fitzpatrick hits free agency then all it takes is the browns/eagles/rams to decide that he is worth that. The broncos are in the same boat with brock and Von Miller where you have 2 guys but only 1 tag.

I can see Fitz getting a deal around 12m a year.

If he gets a new deal he will be starting QB then surely but isn't there other QB's who will be on the market who could do a better job than him for the money ?

Can't think of any. There's a chance of prising someone like Brees or Rivers away from their team, but they would cost far more than Fitz...
