Surprised Osemele is getting so many nominations. Maybe he was on a bad team, but I thought he took a significant step back last season whereas Joe Thuney was the unsung guy on the Pats line culminating in limiting Arron Donald in the SB

Didn't really get the most out of him last year as he was hampered by injuries, also dropped quite a bit of weight to fit the Raiders zone blocking scheme. Put the weight back on and get in a power blocking scheme and he'll be back to his best.

For me it was all about upside/potential with that trio.

Its hard to imagine any other guard in the division is going to match KO for brute strength. It's nice to have that 'power' option.

Edmunds has all the measurables.

Not sure how often Hyde ends up in the slot, but I know that was Minkah's calling card in college. With 3 safeties it's nice to have that.

I can see how you're going with a mixture of youth and experience, but how comes you've doubled up on rookies for DT, do you rate them that highly?

How would these be set up? One a Free Safety, another a Strong Safety and the third a nickle, or a linebacker hybrid? Just wondering where each one would go.

Lots of DB talent in the division, including the best CB in the league from last season (Gilmore).
Three very good Cornerbacks, defensive backs in general seems to be a real strength in the AFC East. I guess one of these would work as a nickleback, which one would you suggest?

I kind of like the 'Williams Wall' but there doesn't seem to be that young defensive end that would excite me.

Mosley is a lock, but I can't make up my mind for the next linebacker!

For this division, no doubts on that, but i'll be a fun debate for the other divisions.

Will you be including rookies Crash, or do they need to prove it for at least a season before you'd consider them?

Similar team to Richard, also wondering what your thoughts were about going double rookie at DT and how you'd fit your DBs in?

There isn't a huge amount of talent at DT in the AFC East outside of rookies imo. I mean 3 were added to this division inside the first 13 picks of the 2019 Draft. Ed Oliver was my first choice for a 4 man front, athletically he's a great fit. Either of the Williams' could line up next to him to add a little more 'bulk' but I just felt like the younger Williams might, might, have a little more athletic (and run stopping) potential. A bit more compact, lower to the ground, better leverage, etc.

As for Safety. Yeah, McCourty as a FS, Adams as more of a SS. Minkah as the Jack of all trades, can cover the slot, play in the box, handle single high if needs be if you're getting creative. McCourty, Adams and Fitzpatrick give the flexibility to play a variety of Cover 3 looks in my mind. (although that might go against my Moseley selection as coverage isn't exactly his strength these days).

(Olly posting)

AFC East Dream Team:

Offence:

QB: Tom Brady (Patriots)
RB: Le'Veon Bell (Jets)
RB: James White (Patriots)
WR: Robert Foster (Bills)
WR: Julian Edelman (Patriots)
TE: Chris Herndon (Jets)

OT: Dion Dawkins (Bills)
OG: Joe Thuney (Patriots)
OC: David Andrews (Patriots)
OG: Shaq Mason (Patriots)
OT: Marcus Cannon (Patriots)

Defence:

DE: Jerry Hughes (Bills)
DT: Michael Bennett (Patriots)
DT: Lawrence Guy (Patriots)
DE: Lorenzo Alexander (Bills)

LB: Kyle Van Noy (Patriots)
LB: Matt Milano (Bills)

DB: Stephon Gilmore (Patriots)
DB: Tre'Davious White (Bills)
DB: Xavien Howard (Dolphins)
DB: Jamal Adams (Jets)
DB: Devin McCourty (Patriots)

AFC East WRs suck on the whole, but I do like Foster with the Bills a lot and obviously Edelman is good, so shifted a WR out for two RBs in Bell and White.

OL wise the Pats have one of the best OLs in the league, whereas the rest of the OLs in the AFC East are mainly varying from meh to complete trash - do like Dawkins at tackle with the Bills, and so far he's more proven than Wynn of course.

Defensively the Bills have a very good defence, so wanted to include as many of their players as I could - Alexander is always underrated imo, especially as a rusher.

My team essentially reflects the two best teams/rosters in the division - Pats and Bills, who are both better than the Jets/Dolphins by a fair bit for me

No rookies for me. Someone needs to play in the Pro's before being deemed worthy for a dream team IMHO

I was thinking the same, only player I think in the entire NFL that I would consider is actually Quinnen Williams.
