Tinoisamoa on board
Linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa reunites with former coaches as he inks a one-year deal
May 29, 2009, 4:46 PM
By: Jeff Dickerson
Despite receiving interest from Buffalo, linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa ultimately decided to reunite with former coaches Lovie Smith and Bob Babich here in Chicago.
On the same day the organization extended the contract of Israel Idonije and inked seven draft picks, the Bears have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with Tinoisamoa, who recorded 104 tackles for St. Louis last season.
Tinoisamoa likely enters the fray as the Bears starting strong-side linebacker, with Nick Roach and Hunter Hillenmeyer also expected to battle for the job this summer.

A huge upgrade over HH and NR, and he's still young enough to improve.

This off season just keeps getting better.

Wouldn't say huge. He has problems in coverage which is pretty much why we got rid of HH. He is a solid tackler though. Can fill all positions for us if needed. Good signing.

Bears among teams interested in Burress. Can't see this being a good move.

To be honest I think it's a bit easy to say that it's a bad idea just because the guys is a fool. I certainly wouldn't put Plax in the same league as people like Vick and Pacman. Burress strikes me as stupid as much as anything. I think the spotlight in New York after his SuperBowl heroics went to his head. Based on what I have read the idea of going to prison terrifies him and I think he will learn his lesson, unlike some other guys.

I'm not defending his actions, he should be suspended by the league and sent down but I don't think it's through being a bad person, I think he is a bit dense and was in the worng environment.

In Pittsburgh he was a pain in the backside but not always getting into trouble. I think he'll keep his head down after this.

When it becomes clear what is going to happen to him, I think the Bears shouldconsider at least briniging him in and speaking with him. They need to get an idea of how he is as a person and base any decision from that.

These days it's easy to say don't go after anyone who hgas off the field issues but Lance Briggs has had plenty of dodgy driving incidents, often it is all luck if you hurt people or get caught...so many players drive like idiots. If it is something like that suspend the player, let the law deal with it. If it's a long protracted case of lies and criminal intent, as with Vick then it is a much more seroius matter as far as the nfl is concerned
