Default Earl Thomas III

It's never a surprise when a great player moves on - especially in the NFL! But it will be strange watching Earl Thomas play in a different jersey from next season.

Seattle has done some excellent drafting over the last decade and it all started with drafting Thomas in 2010. As the first, he was the leader of the famed "Legion Of Boom" secondary - and defense as a whole. That defense was the best in the league for at least a couple of years. Watching them dismantle the Broncos (who had a record-breaking offense!) in Super Bowl XLVIII was pretty special.

He became one of the main reasons for the most successful period in the franchise's history and it is a shame the relationship soured between Thomas and the Seahawks over the last year or so, but it's credit to him and his 'Hawks career that he was the last "LOB" member standing despite also being the first in. His range, speed, style while out on the field for Seattle was brilliant and one of the biggest compliments you can give him is the noticeable difference it made when he wasn't playing.

Happiness was watching Earl Thomas make plays. And he made plenty.

Super Bowl XLVIII Champ
2x NFC Champ
6x Pro Bowl
28 Interceptions
11 Forced Fumbles
3 Defensive TDs

Not bad for a Seahawk!

Outstanding player, and part of a great tandem with Kam Chancellor. Safety is a position Seattle seem to have done consistently well at over the years, going back to Kenny Easley in the mid 80’s.
