safety is the position of choice in the upcoming draft but likely won't give good value, picking at 25.

DE is the next position of need, but don't be surprised if it's a QB or offensive lineman.

i dont think we need to waste one of our top 2 picks on a LB though. we already have our starting trio set up for next season. we could pick up a LB in one of the later rounds though.

I believe Volek is being signed as a potential long term replacement for favre, Surely this can't be true packs can it? guy of 28 i think he is, no real significant Nfl experience and they expect him to fill the great mans shoes one day?! cant see it happening, personally i think hes being brought in to back up full stop, Favre isn't getting any younger and we might need someone like him to do some sort of a job at some stage next season, but replace favre? please say it aint so??! surely we can do better!

Don't count out the Lions! So long as they don't fold like the pussycats they are, they will be a dark horse next year!
