Yeah, signed through 2019 and they could save $6.5m if they decided to cut/trade him before the 2019 season.

I doubt they would, but you make a good point about Fleming. If they could re-sign him next off season to a 2+ year deal it would give them a 'Plan B'. At the minute he's on a 1 year deal. If he's good enough to start it's tough to see him wanting to wait around on the off chance the Cowboys move on from Collins.

Collins averages out as the 4th highest paid RT in the league at the minute. With the way the cap is moving you could easily see Collins wanting $11m/year in 2019 if he proves to be a success at RT.

Like you touched on, that would be 4 O Linemen on over 10 mill a yr and cap space seems tight, that will change, but its asking a good chunk of cash

http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/positional/offensive-line/ Apart from the Falcons, Cowboys are already using up a huge chunk on the O Line

Sources reporting it's the end of the road for Chaz Green. He'll be amongst the cuts today apparently.

'Only' a 3rd round pick, but certainly a draft bust.

Oh, and if we decide to keep Rico Gathers on the roster...…..he's just been arrested for Marijuana possession. genius.

It'll be interesting to see if they place any waiver claims or if they'll just wait to see who hits the open market.

Wonder if they'll kick the tyres on a Panthers cast off ahead of next weeks game?

Bailey was a shock, think the writing was on the wall with Green when they got Ehinger, clearly Chaz couldn't be a back up guard. The O Line is a huge worry in general

Garrett basically said Bailey was a financial decision based on the bigger picture. He did say everything played a part, but it was hard not to read between the lines and see they just didn't think he was worth it.

Glad Chaz finally moved on, for him and the team. He needs a fresh start and the Cowboys need to move past a 3rd rd pick that didn't fit for whatever reason.

It's crazy to think this O line is a 'huge worry'. No team has invested in their O line like the Cowboys have. I think you have to have faith in that starting 5, even without TF. I'm not sure how it is for other teams around the league but it feels like the Cowboys are always looking for solid back ups on the OL..... And more often than not failing to find them.

They seemingly tried to play the system to keep some guys or get them back after cuts. It worked with Deonte Thompson with Noah Brown heading to IR, but they just lost Brian Price to the Raiders and Darius Jackson was stolen from the Practice Squad by the Packers.

If the starters stay healthy the roster looks good imo. Any injuries though and we lack depth. I suppose that's the downside to a young roster, it's not like your young guys are backing up talented veteran starters. The young guys are the starters!

Ehinger to IR......that trade worked out well!

Now they've brought back Kadeem Edwards, a guy they had enough faith in to cut.

The O Line is looking cursed this year, well the back ups mostly. Frederick, Marcus Martin, now Ehinger, all on IR or long term absences. Draft picks, free agents, trades, all falling foul of injury or ill health.

It goes without saying, but Martin, Looney and Williams better stay healthy or it isn't going to look pretty.
