Default Has anyone booked anything ???

Has anyone speculated and booked up any hotels for the potential IS game ?

I think I know which weekend it would be if the cba gets sorted and there were hotels for £35 per night in Central London for that weekend.

Was tempted to take a punt and grab one just in case but then I thought again as with the game, weekend, venue not announced and the cba in limbo decided it was too risky

Yep, I booked the Wembley Ibis the day after last year's game. They have a room rate where you can cancel with no loss of cash up to the day you're supposed to arrive. If the game doesn;t go ahead this year, I can cancel with no risk.

Not yet. I normally book really early, but leaving it this year till I know what is happening (probably nothing).

That sounds an excellent plan. What about travel? Just leaving that for now or are you driving or something?

If there is a game, I'll wait til about 8 weeks before the game and book train tickets. I got them for £10 each way from Bristol - Paddington last year. With the Ibis costing around £40 per room, it makes the weekend affordable.

Just checked Ibis Wembley - currently £79 per night for that weekend, and that's without breakfast!

I tried Travelodge when they had their £9 sale, but London hotels weren't included in that rate.

I guess I'll hold off for a while.

I think the hotels are getting to no that the game is on the same weekend every year so are not giving us cheap offers like years gone by.Will keep looking at Ibis/Travelodge ect and when i see a price that is good will book, even if there is no game a weekend in London will be some good R&R before christmas.

I always book the Ibis Wembley a year in advance and choose the flexible rate so if there isn't an IS game, I can cancel free of charge. It's usually around £50.
