Default Payton Manning

With all the talk that's going on, would you take him over Sanchez for next year?

You'd probably rather have Peyton...

Manning won't be around much longer, he'd just be a band aid imo. I want to see what Sanchez can do with a competent OC next season with a new backup brought in to challenge him and hopefully push him to bigger things....

I'd do a backflip if we signed a healthy Peyton Manning. I think we can be successful with Sanchez, but success would be a lot easier with an elite QB.

I don't think we will though. Rex, and more importantly Tannenbaum are too invested in Sanchez. We gave up a lot to get Sanchez and bringing in Manning would mean admitting they made a mistake.

Payton would be great for the Jets but, as alluded to above, How much longer will he be fit to play? Will he be fit to be a starter again?

Another scenario, Manning joins the Jets as backup to Sanchez and advises/coaches him. It's not out of the question.

If Peyton does come to the Jets, he won't be a backup at the money he's due to make.. Starter or not at all.

I'm not so sure, this scenario will depend on how fit Peyton is.

I think I'd feel a mixture of disappointment and relief if he did come. He's not going to be a long term replacement for Sanchez and I still, deep down, really want Sanchez to stay as the starting QB.

G_Man90, I just spotted you're in Dundee. Can't be too many Jets fans around these parts!

hi guys just wondered what you think of trading sanchez to move up the board to get say griffin 3 or tannehill come draft day. i really dont think manning would be a good move for you he would take up huge salary cap, and he runs his own offence i dont see ryan allowing him to be the guy in the organisation
