I would go CB at 28, we have too many holes at that position imo, then either CB, S or DE in Rnd 2.

Worried about our Defense for next season, our offense might have to put 30+ points on the board nearly every game

Thats the obvious one at 28 but you never know how Jerry is thinking! look at Jaylon Smith last draft. I wouldnt say we have holes as such, but it needs an upgrade without doubt. I was worried about the D as well at the start of last season but look how that worked out! Sidney Jones is apparently on course for the season-but its a big reach, does any team risk it in RD 1? i very much doubt it., however if he falls to Rd 2......the top 2 CBs will be gone before 28, so do we play "safe" with an edge rusher and then play Jones in 2?

The Conley incident takes a CB off the board before we start. Jones is unlikely to make the start of the season imo, and Moreau will be touch and go too. So that's 3 CB's already that don't fit #28 perhaps. The trickle down effect might mean some of the CB's hoped to see at#60 just wont be there. So it looks more likely that they'd have to find a CB between #28 and #60, either by trading up or down from #60 and #28.

The concerns on D have carried over from last season, but you'd have to think it will be in better shape post draft this time round compared to last year. Last year they only got help from their 3rd and 6th rd picks. This year, hopefully, you'll get at least 3 of your top 4 picks on D, plus last years 2nd and 4th rd picks.

It should be a defensive draft, but with Jerry, you never know.

I'd love Jerry to pull off a great trade where the Cowboys get better than market value. For all the talk about the wheeling dealing Jones' it seems an age since they made a really good trade.

Be interesting if Jones is still on the board at 60, sure Jezzas trigger finger will be a twitching!

This might finally be the year he resists temptation.......although maybe he thinks 'I've got last year's 2nd rd pick coming back this year........'.............

Would the Cowboys take Gareon Conley at #60 (or #92 if he lasts that long)? And if they would consider it does that affect their decision at #28? Obviously they would have to be happy with other CB options at #60 too in case things didn't fall right.

Reading around Adoree Jackson is becoming a popular choice at #28 but some don't think he'll last that long.

So went pass rusher with Michigan's Taco Charlton. Ok with it but surely 2nd round it has to be CB. Whose available at the moment:

Kevin King, Washington
Chidobe Awuzie, Colorado
Quincy Wilson, Florida
Fabian Morea, UCLA
Jourdan Lewis, Michigan St
Cordrea Tankersley, Clemson
Teez Tabor, Florida

Think the first three there will probably go before we pick again. Anyone think we could trade up and pick a little earlier in round 2??
