I think when you're in a last and very final contract you'll go anywhere who offers the most money, especially in a short career position like RB...

The NFL contract system is so different to Football (soccer) that I do struggle to understand this side at times. What's the deal, have we offered him a contract already? With a lower salary that he hasn't accepted?

The front office has told him he can see what others are willing to offer him. Doubt we will find out whether they have told him their offer beforehand, or if just tell him whether they are willing to match/beat what he gets offered elsewhere.
