For any old timers out there I wrote this post about the classic 51-45 shootout between the Dolphins and Jets.

Amazing game! I often wonder what Ken O'Brien could have done if he'd ever had a decent OL in front of him. Matched one of the all time greats blow for blow that day. Just wish we had an Offense 1/10th as explosive these days...

I always thought we could have won with O'Brien if everything came right. Kind of like the Ravens with Flacco. He was that type of QB. Great game that kind of cemented me as a Jets fan.

Yeah I definitely think history underrates him/makes him the punchline for the Jets picking him over Marino. Hey, they both won the same number of Super Bowls....

I'll be wearing my O'Brien shirt Sunday!

Really great stuff reading that Jonno.

As a kid watching this game I had so little an idea of what was going on but I was left absolutely buzzing about the sport and the Jets.

For anyone else who got hooked on this team then....you all know we are owed a very 'big day out' one of these days.

29yrs since that game. As much as its been a rocky road I wouldn't change much (just the results of the three AFCC games since).
